biblical finds: Gedaliah's seal by ric Gustafson
You probably have never heard of Gedaliah. During the time of Jeremiah the prophet, the people of Judah were rebellious. They worshipped idols and consulted the stars. Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon destroyed Jerusalem. He put Gedaliah there as governor over the poor. He was murdered there. In 1935, a clay seal was found in Lachish Israel. The inscription on it reads ' belonging to Gedaliah'. Praise God.
