On Jan 1 1950, George Harrison and his family moved to 25 Upton Green. It was a council house. Louise kept George at Dovedale Road school.
9 year old John Lennon tried to write letters to his father Alf. At Mimi's house, John read, wrote and drew. Outside the house, John swore and hung out with several friends.
Paul enjoyed Stockton Wood school. His playmate was his younger brother Mike. Paul's mother Mary started a new job. The family moved to 12 Ardwick Road.
Richy Starkey gained a new father figure in his life. This was toward the end of 1951. Elsie Starkey met Harry Graves. Graves worked for Liverpool Corporation. He helped maintain public buildings. Richy liked him right away.
In September 1951, Paul McCartney and his brother Mike changed schools again. The new school was now Joseph Williams Primary.
