Bobby stood under a tree in the small park. A short round man walked up to him. Bobby pointed to an empty park bench. The two men sat down.
Bolshakov grinned. " Bobby, you asked to see me".
" We can't just pull out of Berlin".
" Chairman Khrushchev made a pledge to you and your allies".
" You mean withdrawing from the city".
" You rejected that pledge".
" Yes, we did".
" And now the eastern portion of the city is now run by the East German government".
" Citizens of the eastern part of the city are coming through Checkpoint Charley into West Berlin".
Bolshakov frowned. " That will be ending when the barrier is finished".
Bobby stared at Bolshakov. " When will that happen?".
The Soviet looked at Bobby. " August 13".
