Nikita Khrushchev tried to get up. He was poking at the dirt. His son Sergei helped him up to his feet.
He smiled. " I'm glad I'm a leader not a farmer".
Sergei grinned. " You command a nation and it's programs".
Khrushchev thought for a moment. " I learned to make friends powerful useful friends".
" Father, what successes are you most proud of?".
" I am proud that we launched a rocket that carried a man into space".
" What else are you proud of Father?".
" We shot down that American V-2 spy plane".
Sergei frowned. " Father, our nation must expand".
" I know son". Khrushchev smiled. " Cuba, Vietnam, Laos even Germany".
" Are you going to go to Vienna and meet this young Kennedy?".
" He has already made a huge blunder in Cuba".
" Father, he is young and untried".
" Yes, I will go". Khrushchev smiled again. " I will continue this cold war".
