The next morning April 3 1882, Bob woke up at sunrise. Jesse's wife Zee was already making breakfast. Bob put on nut brown trousers and boots.
Jesse yawned as he walked out of the master bedroom. " I could of slept longer".
Bob and Jesse sat down for breakfast. While Zee served them fresh biscuits and jam, Jesse began to look at the morning edition of the Kansas City Times.
Jesse frowned. " This article talks about the surrender of Dick Liddil".
Charley looked surprised. " You don't say".
Jesse stared at Bob. " You told me you did not know anything about Liddil?".
" I don't".
Jesse scratched his chin. " It says Liddil turned himself in 3 weeks ago".
Jesse looked at Charley. " Are you ready to go?".
Charley stared at Bob. " I will be by noon".
