John 10:11 says ' I am the good shepherd, the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep'.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd. Psalm 23 begins with ' the Lord is my shepherd'. The good shepherd shows love for his sheep. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus is willing to die for his sheep. Jesus sacrificed himself for us his sheep. John 10:10 says ' I came so that they could have life'. Jesus defeated Satan and sin through his death and resurrection. Jesus did this for us, his sheep.
