When someone does something to us at work or otherwise, our sinful heart says to fight back. To fight back against unfair and unreasonable treatment. When we have unjust suffering, our sinful heart says seek revenge.
Jesus wants us to act in a different way. He wants us to have a God like attitude and focus on Him instead. God wants us to do that. Instead of ungrateful and stubborn, Jesus wants us to be honest and caring.
With a God attitude, he will give us grace. Why should God give us grace?. Simple, God loves us more than anything else.
