Jesus called his disciples based on there experience. Each of them were called from where they were. Simon Peter, Andrew, Jacob and John were all fishermen. According to Matthew 4, follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Jesus called them to follow him. Then they were to fish for men. These men left their livelihoods to follow Jesus.
Jesus speaks our language. He knows the language of our hearts. He calls all of us. Did we hear that call?. I pray that we did. Jesus asks for us to follow him. I pray we will.
