II Peter 1:5 talks about diligence. God gives us resources through his promises for godliness. Diligence means to make every effort. It is a steady and energetic effort. Diligence is the opposite of laziness. Peter tells us to diligently follow Jesus and to be more like Jesus. We will add to our faith by being motivated by diligence. Peter was diligent and devoted to Jesus. God has given us everything we need in life to follow him.
Diligence is a lifestyle. We need to follow Jesus with diligence. He loves us more than anything else.
