At this time, all four Liverpool lads began having raging hormones. In Speke, Paul McCartney was being noticed by several girls. The first was Sheila Prytherch. She lived at Number 8 Ardwick Road. Paul's father Jim gave Paul a second hand trumpet. He learned it quickly. His attachment to the instrument faded quickly.
George Harrison began to like cars and car racing. George's father bought a 1933 Austin Saloon. It had running boards, a luggage rack and wire wheels.
Toward the end of 1955, Richy Starkey got out of the hospital. In November of 1955, a song called ' Rock Around the Clock' came out. The rock and roll song raced up the chart to number 1. Richy and Paul loved the song.
A country western singer from Florida had two big hits in England in 1955. His name was Slim Whitman. The songs were ' Indian Love Call' and ' Rose Marie'. The lads also started listening to the music of a singer songwriter from New Orleans. His name was Fats Domino.
