When someone does something to us, it is easy to retaliate and try to even the score. Jesus warns us not to do that. Jesus says to love them instead. Jesus wants us to love others and keep our hearts pure. When we feel like getting revenge on someone, Jesus says give those feelings to me. Jesus will send the Holy Spirit to heal our hearts. Instead of revenge, we should love them instead.
