Trump's nominee to replace Ginsburg was Amy Coney Barrett. Barrett was a highly respected law professor at Notre Dame. She was considered an expert on Federal courts, constitutional law and statutory interpretation. The Senate confirmed Barrett on Oct 26 2020. Senator McConnell had pushed Barrett's confirmation through.
