I enjoyed living in Hot Springs Arkansas. The city was named because of hot sulfur springs which bubbled up from below ground. The town was west and south of Little Rock. The springs became a federal reservation. Hot Springs became known as the spa city. The town only had 35,000 residents.

I loved living on Circle Drive. I enjoyed spending time with David Leopovlos. and the Crane family. I loved spending time on Park Avenue. 

There was a barber shop run by Mr Brizendine. On further was Ramble Elementary. It was my new school. In fourth grade, I started band. I learned to play the tenor saxophone. I adored my 6th grade teacher. Her name was Kathleen Schaer. I loved to read. I spent time at the Garland County Public Library.

Also on Park Avenue was my first real church. It was called Park Place Baptist Church. One Sunday night I will never forget. That night my friend Bert Jeffries and I were baptized.
