Christmas: Luke 1: 19-20 by ric gustafson
Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth are old. They tried for many years to have children. They could not. They had given up all hope. Then one day, an angel tells Zechariah that his wife will have a child. He told the angel it was unthinkable. For this, Zechariah was struck dumb.
Zechariah and Elizabeth's son John would prepare the way for Jesus and his ministry. The fact is that God loves us more than anything else. Praise God.
